Local Travel Allied Health Benefits & Compensation
Unlike many companies, Lucida lets you customize your own compensation and benefits package. While most travel companies take a one-size-fits-all approach, we customize a generous program to provide our travelers with a first-rate combination of cash compensation and benefits. For example, you may choose to opt out of health insurance in favor of additional hourly pay.

1. Excellent Hourly Pay Rates - Lucida is committed to offering our travelers top pay rates: average compensation* is over $50,000 - $70,000 per year. Add in other benefits, such as free housing and insurance, the total compensation package can add up to well over $80,000 annually. *Actual pay rates vary by assignment and many offer shift differentials for evening and night shifts. 2. Generous Sign-On & Completion Bonuses - Lucida offers $500 - $1,500 bonuses for positions designated as Rapid Response assignments. Many of our clients also offer generous completion bonuses, ranging from $500 to $6,000. Ask your Career Advisor for details. 3. Travel Reimbursement - As part of your total compensation package, Lucida offers a generous round-trip reimbursement allowance. The actual fee is based on the distance of the assignment from your current home. 4. Refer-a-Friend Bonuses - Share the word about Lucida with your friends and acquaintances, and when they complete a 13-week assignment, you’ll receive a bonus check of $1,000.

5. Loyalty Bonus Programs - To recognize traveler loyalty, we offer an industry-leading Loyal Service Rewards program. The more assignments you complete, the greater the cash rewards. Simply complete 39 assignment weeks and accumulate points for cash bonuses of $500 to $5,000.
6. Licensure and Continuing Education Reimbursement - Lucida wants you to maximize your earning potential. To help you with that, we offer reimbursement for licensure and continuing education classes. Ask your Career Advisor for more details.

Most local travelers elect to live in their current residence. However, should you opt for Lucida supplied housing, our Housing Specialists work hard to secure free, private accommodations near your work in safe, comfortable neighborhoods. We even coordinate utility set-up and furniture delivery.

Lucida offers one of the most flexible and generous insurance programs available.
A summary of our program:
- Medical Insurance - Lucida pays 100% of the individual premium expense for medical, dental and life insurance for our healthcare professionals. Our national group medical plan offers comprehensive coverage with very reasonable deductibles and out-of-pocket cost limits. It features routine care, including the annual physical exams and health clearances required for your assignments.
- Dental Insurance - Our dental insurance plan pays 100% of your individual dental premiums and covers diagnostic and preventive procedures at 50%.
- Free Basic Life Insurance - We provide our travelers with free access to $25,000 of life and $25,000 of accidental death and dismemberment insurance coverage.
- Professional Liability Insurance - We offer all of our travelers nationally respected, comprehensive professional liability insurance, completely free of charge from day one of your first assignment.
- 401(k) Retirement Plan - Just because you’re traveling doesn’t mean you can’t save for retirement. With Lucida, you’re eligible to enroll in our 401(k) 90 days after starting an assignment, and can contribute up to 50 percent of your salary or $14,000, whichever is lower, tax-free. After 1,000 hours of continuous service, Lucida will match 50 cents for each dollar you defer, up to 6 percent of your income. If you’re age 50 or older, you may contribute $18,000 a year. Our 401(k) plan offers a variety of well-known stock, bond and money market funds.
